Mabamba Lodge restaurant -bar  is warm, relaxed and homely -  celebrating  culture, authenticity and a passion for local ingredients. 

Our restaurant has now been running alongside our accommodation for nearly two years in the heart of Mabamba  and it has certainly made a a name for itself by popularising  the distinctive flavours & everyday dishes  of Uganda and those around the word with a hint of refinement and elevation.

Our food is playful and offers  meat, vegetarian, vegan & gluten free choices. We champion fresh, bold & vibrant locally sourced ingredients whenever possible, working with fantastic farmers and fishermen to bring wholesome dishes to your tables. 

Owner & Head Chef - Sarah (Ugandan heritage) has a passion for food and  hospitality,  and she is the  result for the innovations and experimentation at Mabamba Lodge restaurant.
