Mabamba Lodge is a family-owned business, remotely located on 4-5 Arces of land in a scenic village of Mabamba, characterised by lake, thick green vegetation, rolling hills and prime birding territory of Mabamba Wetlands.  

Mabamba Lodge celebrates nature, culture and communities, and aims to inspire a positive and meaningful guest experiences through the understanding of how to hold a loving and interconnected relationship with nature and with the surrounding communities.   

ENVIRONMENTAL PROCESS & PRACTICES AT MABAMBA LODE

Here at Mabamba Lodge, we recognise the privileges and responsibilities of being part of community, and therefore we are committed in celebrating local culture, supporting local  communities and minimising environmental impact  in hopes to inspire a sustainable future to come. 

Check below a few of our practices;  

•  Locally sourced & Locally grown. Here at Mabamba Lodge we're  exploring creative ways to grow & source locally in order to ensure we bring  our food, designs & interaction closer to home. 

• Energy efficient lighting  and hot water supply for all our guests.    

•  A reduced plastic usage in place  & we are working towards plastic free environment. Please opt for your water to be transferred in a reusable bottle.  

•  We give our guests the opportunity to opt-out of daily room cleans, and in particular, cut down on washing towels daily. As a result, we encourage guests to hang up their towels and reuse them, this can drastically cut down on washing and drying systems.   

• Our setting is remotely located in relatively natural environment and  a noted birding habitat of Mabamba Wetlands. As a result we take a degree of inspiration from our environment & we hope you too will be transformed.
